A fireplace, I guess.

Alrighty, today we did a thing. We bought a fireplace.

I joke with K that all of our house projects are her ideas: gabion walls, a playhouse for the kids, ripping off the cornice returns. The latest: a fireplace for our living room.

Mind you we do not currently have propane available on our property. Also then of course not plumbed in our house. Guess we get to figure out how to install a propane fireplace! We have a few weeks until it arrives at the dealer in town.

For the record: I'm just as excited as she is at the thought of turning that thing on while we cozy up in the living room…
