A test.

In our ongoing intent to 'contemporize' (that's not really a word) the original house and bring it more in-line with the addition, we wanted to minimize the traditional farmhouse look. An easy fix was painting all the white window trim the same color as the (current) siding (since we plan on painting the exterior). I did a quick test by painting one of the front upstairs windows.


Agreeing it was a good move, over the past couple of weeks I finished painting the rest of the trim. While I did, we had someone eating our blueberries.

Yeah, we like it. Assuming we'll need to trim out the new windows we'll be installing, we'll do the same thing: paint the trim the same color as the house.
