NYT.
Just days after reading about where K and I were married in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times posted an article about the place I'm headed to later this summer: the Wind River Range.
The Winds apparently used to be a secret. They were a place for the not-faint-of-heart. The hardcore climbers. They were wild.
Cosmo and I visited them way back in 2008. K and I took Squish a few years ago. He was a year-and-a-half old and we carried him on our backs so he could spend some time in that wild, wild place. Playing with his trucks on the trail, hiding from us in the tall grass along the shores of Big Sandy Lake. This summer I'm set on doing a high route through the entire range.
There's some irony that's not lost on me when an international publication writes about how a place is no longer a secret. That said, if the Winds are no longer a secret, they're still most certainly wild.
