A photograph for the floating wall.
The other night, once I finished painting our floating wall, I fired up our ol' Epson Stylus Pro 9800 printer that sits in the basement, mostly collecting dust. It's a big dust collector. When it runs, though, my old baby is a thing of beauty.
With a printing width of up to a whopping 44'', it's an impressive piece of engineering. The thing is at least fifteen years old at this point and still going strong. Colors are dead-on to my monitor. Yep, impressive.
For the photo on the side of our bed, we chose one I took on our honeymoon of Lake Wakatipu from the South Island of New Zealand.
For the other side of the wall, I was telling K last night how I'd love something like this giant mural at the Gravity Haus in Breckenridge, Colorado (I came across it while planning a potential work event for later this year… ).
Something like this image K took of Mount Tasman, also from New Zealand:
To pull off a print that big, we'd have to lay out sections of it in Photoshop, then print them and glue everything together. Possible. We'll see.
