Speaking of sleuthiest…
A while ago, shortly after we moved (I think), K found photo albums on the Facebook of the addition on our house. From design to construction. Pretty cool stuff, says this wannabe architect who actually took drafting in high school and not just to use as a study hall (like music theory, heh).
Here then, are the schematics that show the house before in the actual yellow paint that it was. This is from the back (north side), which apparently used to have a patio.
The garage was there, along with the retaining wall.
I'm curious what the upstairs looked like before the addition… Here then are the drawings with the new design.
As we noted in the CAD drawings left behind, the design went through a few iterations. In the last photo, the wood slats on our bedroom don't go to the ceiling. For the final construction, however, they do.
Just little things like that. More to come… Fun stuff!
